Kitchen help please

Currently in the process of buying our first home. Have only rented before so very much a novice with things like this. Originally I was hoping to get another kitchen door to replace where the dryer is as I think it stands out too much and looks untidy I was going to paint them but they are discontinued according to the people who fitted it around 10 years ago. So I'm looking into other options such as new doors, a worktop and upstand rather than tiles.

My partner is very handy so could do a lot of the work himself. My questions are: since the sink is against the wall and not the window would an upstand be ok rather than a full splash back? What are the risks of this if any? Last question is any idea of rough costs of materials to get the desired look which is similar to third picture which is pretty much the same layout as mine. First 2 pictures will be my kitchen). I think the worktops are quartz I think. Will keep the oven, job and floor tiles. Thanks

it is possible to have a door where the dryer is we took out a built in under counter fridge, we had the door my son in law put batons inside the cupboard and attached the door to those new doors will be cheaper than replacing the whole kitchen and most doors are standard size if the cupboards are in decent condition

Any idea how/where I would get one to match? as the company who originally fit it said its discontinued, it would be a more affordable option for the meantime if we could find one the same.

if the kitchen has been there ten years it will have changed colour over time so even a new door might be a different colour

I would paint them anyway, I just need the same door and style so they match.

look at DIY kitchens they do a lot of styles and finishes you may be able to get one from there as they make their doors on site worth a try

Will have a look thank you. If anyone has any ideas what I should budget for the worktops/upstands and new doors please let me know

to add a door you will need extra panels and fillers + new integrated appliances.
freestand appliances take up a larger freestand space eg 620/640 wide, where the door is 600.
The Appliances stick out as they are deeper than integrated due to the casing of the appliance.
Best place to look would be symphony kitchens as they supply many new build houses on larger projects, DIY dont offer this door.

Is there any issues with only having a short upstand where the sink is? Rather than a splashback? Most are by the window but this isn't

What’s an upstand?

If you remove the tiles and replace the worktop and have a short up stand the walls where the tiles went will probably need re-plastering/skimming which will add £££, essentially you are talking about replacing the whole kitchen (apart from the oven, hob and floor) and if the oven and hob are 10 years old you may as well replace them too imo. Is there a dishwasher in there as if not I'd swap the dryer for a dishwasher? Also if it were me I'd live with it for a bit and see if you're happy with the layout before making plans
