Waste pipes/solvent weld

I'm not expecting too responses but I don't know any other forums to ask!

Basically noticed a large puddle/river running across our patio, went out to investigate and a large section of the kitchen sink waste pipe as broken off.
I went out and bought the pieces I needed to replace the broken sections .... however, one end of the pipe had snapped off, leaving parts of it glued inside an elbow...

The whole section has been glued with solvent weld, all the way to the bathroom waste stack.

Am I right in thinking there is no way I can just replace the broken section because of the solvent weld.... am I gonna need to replace it all??

Pop down to a proper plumbers merchant with a photo and a pipe measurement. They will sell you a solvent weld coupler to re join the pipe for about £1. You should be able to cut the Elbow out and insert two couplers and an elbow in to the existing pipe
Screw fix / tool station sell the but won't be able to advise you how to fit it, you need cleaner and rapid set glue.
This sort of thing, its not rocket science, just a cheap reliable way of joining pipes

With solvent weld, if the pipe has broken off right by the fitting you won't get the bits out the elbow, you need to get back to a piece of plain pipe to glue a fitting back onto it.
This may mean cutting it off in doors and putting a new piece through the wall.

Sorry! I really wasn't expecting any replies and forgot to check back!

My step-dad came and saved the day!
He had to chisel out the broken, glued in pieces from one of the joins.
Then managed to replace the pipes.

We couldn't just cut any pipes as it was broken between 2 joints so there was no straights to cut!

Thankfully the chiselling worked as my stepdad was worried we'd have to take up the waste stack!!

Glad it worked out. If it happens next time, use a saw to even it up from the crack and then, as someone has said, use to straight connectors to save any bit of pipe left over. It may be a sensible idea to get a pipe support for the pipe to stop this from happening again. Ideally, there should be one support at every meter of pipe.
