Would anyone mind disclosing how much their underfloor heating cost and if you would recommend it? We had decided against it but now we have to rip out existing floor so wondering whether we may aswell go down this route now

Not sure the precise cost as was done as part of an extension but I think it was circa an additional 3-4K for 40m Square. This included the screed which was pumped in over the piping. Note ours is wet UFH. Don't get electric as it will, bankrupt you to run

Yes would definitely recommend it. Delightful. Extension stays at a constant temp. No radiators on the wall so looks great. You have to time it differently to ordinary radiators. Ours for example goes off at 6pm but the room remains at 24degrees all evening

It is essential that the insulation in the room meets building regs standards, especially in the floor. If you are digging the floor up you will need a huge depth. For example I think our floor had the concrete base laid, with 6 inches of insulation with the pipes clipped on top. There was then 50mm or so of screed
