Underfloor heating in a playroom as downstairs toilet?

We are replacing the carpet we have in our hallway, downstairs toilet (yes, it's carpeted!) and playroom with Karndean "wooden" flooring.

The playroom and downstairs toilet both have a radiator in them and have never been cold but I'm now worried that losing the carpet will make them rooms colder (specifically the playroom). The playroom also opens out onto the garden via double glazed French doors.

Does anyone have any advice on whether it's worth getting underfloor hearing for the playroom (and maybe the toilet)? Not keen on the cost but if we are going to do it we need to do it now.

We have original wooden floorboard in our playroom, with the gaps and with the radiator and a rug it isn't cold. We have Amtico (similar time Karndean) in our bathroom and it never feels cold under foot as it's much more insulating. . On that basis, I'd save the expense of under floor heating and just have a large playmat/ rug.

is it a concrete floor?

Are you thinking of wet or electric heating?

Thanks for responding! Really useful!

Yes we have a concrete floor and would be thinking of electric rather than water.

It will be expensive to run. Many people who have it turn it off permanently after seeing the first bill. A concrete floor will not be draughty and should not be particularly cold.

Don’t do electric underfloor hearing-it is extortionate to tun.

We have a wet system downstairs which is brilliant but made the mistake of electric in an upstairs bathroom-never use it as it costs a ridiculous amount.
