Pull/swing out larder or just shelves ?

I’m about to order my DIY kitchen after a visit to the showroom last week

I’m after advice pls on the pull/swing out larder ? I really like the idea of it but it’s £520 so a fair amount compared to their other units and will it be annoying /break after 6 months . I’ve heard tales of wobbly wire inserts
Am I better off with just shelves or plastic drawers ? Have teenagers addicted to cereal so have many cereal boxes to accommodate in this unit
Thanks

I had the same dilemma and went for the tall units with plastic drawers to save money. Two of them. I've no idea if I would have preferred the wire larder...possibly.... but I love my units. Cereal boxes fit on the top shelf of one of them.

I love our pull out larder! So much easier to get to everything than shelves as you can see it all. Highly recommended!

I'd be wary of the weight on the door. Have a look at pull out drawers instead.

I suspect the pull out larders are a bit like magic corners - the main mechanism and therefore the weight bearing part - is on the bottom of the cupboard.

We have pull out larder and love it! Our crates in it adjust so I made a bigger one for cereal boxes

I've got a 100cm wide larder, from diy, with two pull out drawers ....I love it.
2 different kitchen people said the pull out unit can fail if overloaded.

I have 2 pull out ones and I love thar I can access everything thing in them. Wouldn't be without them, they are worth the expense.

I prefer the swing-out. They also have baskets on the door.

Shelves, things get lost at the back and you have to crouch to see the lower ones.

Pull-outs seem to rattle and sway as if they are coming off the rails (and they sometimes do) and can have a lot of weight.

I also like internal drawers, good big ones with high sides. They have ball-bearing runners so get a good brand like Blum or Hafele. Sometimes called Tandembox or Antaro. B&Q are surprisingly poor.

You only need to pull out oner drawer at a time. Get a size that suits what's going in it. For example one of them can be shallow for utensils and junk (with dividers) and one very deep for kitchen machines. Being rectangular I think they are more efficient at using space.

Kitchen accessories like this are sometimes sold off on ebay at clearance prices.

Or a combination of shelves, baskets and drawers.

Yes to pull out internal drawers.

Thanks for your advice - I have ordered and went with plain shelves - I have found larder cupboard inserts on eBay / Ikea so will add them later on if the normal shelves with baskets in drive me mad .
