Can I replace this with a pedant?

Right so that I'm asking may indicate I'm not very electrically minded!

We have this light fitting in our living room - yes that's a kraken disco ball - but we want to replace it with the IKEA PS 2014.

I'm not sure is our current light is a glorified pendant / ceiling rose. Should it be straight forward enough to wire?

Can I replace this with a pedant?

Yeah @PigletJohn I think we may have an issue with our wiring. All our bulbs are ridiculously dim now I think about it.

time to buy that multimeter

LEDs are quite tolerant of voltage fluctuations.

I can't see why you should have a problem with LEDs.

The cable in your pic is PVC T&E. No reason for it to be faulty. But you may have poor connections.

I was about to offer my services Grin

A nitpicking light fitting.
