50’s 3 bed vs Victorian 2 bed?

Stuck as to what to do.
We currently live in a gorgeous characterful Victorian end of terrace. It’s unusual in that it has its own driveway and lovely big garden too.
However it’s a 2 bed and doesn’t have any internal hallway or porch.

We have seen a house come onto the market, it’s a 3 bed (overall same square footage) but it’s a 50’s end of terrace house on a cul de sac road.

The added benefits is a third bedroom, a downstairs wc and a porch.

It doesn’t have a driveway though.

What would you choose?

Need you ask? Character and orp everytime! Do you need a 3rd bed? Can you add in future?

We have one child and one on the way so a third bed isn’t a necessity yet but Will be one day.
We could potentially extend or convert loft one day but thatl be quite costly I imagine too

I went for space. 50s 3 bed here!

I've had both....Victorian any time. Loft conversion and porch can be added any time.

I wouldn’t move to a house with the same sq footage and just more pokey rooms. I’m sure you could divide the bigger bedrooms into 2 getting the same accommodation as the other house but for a lot less than moving costs.

I'm in a 50s semi and love it after moving from a large Edwardian end terrace.

However I would stay in your house as you have described it and save to extend especially as the garden is large.

The only reason I would move in your circs was if the other area was nicer for kids.

I lived in a 1950s semi in a cul de sac and I loved it, partly because the dining room and kitchen looked out onto the garden rather than it being long and thin. Nice big hall too and very light. Can you easily park nearby even though there's no drive? That would influence it for me.
