Heat Pump tumble dryer advice needed

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone could advise-

We are considering buying a heat pump tumble dryer, but we would prefer to put our tumble dryer in the garage due to limited space. Has anyone any experience of this and does it affect the running and effectiveness of the machine?
Any advice/sharing experience of this and the dryers themselves would be much appreciated
Thanks

I read that heat pump tumble dryers don't work really well in the cold. We wanted to put ours initially in the conservatory but decided against it. It is now a lovely addition to our dining room, until the utility area is finished.

I suspect ours would work a lot better if it wasn’t in the garage, I manage though. The engineer that came to fix my previous heat pump model that leaked tried to tell me it would make no difference. I can’t see how that can be the case though.
I just put it on for an extra half an hour, sometimes twice, after the initial cycle. It is a bit annoying though.

Mine is in the garage. I works ok. Tbh I don't notice much difference between winter and summer with it performance wise. Obviously if you don't emptying promptly the laundry goes cold.in the winter which you can mistake for damp but that's it in my experience tbh.

Thanks for all your replies. Would you mind sharing what make/models you have, if possible

A Miele one. But don't know the exact model name.

I have an AEG one in my garage. Works fine and I don’t notice a difference between summer and winter either.

I have a Samsung one in my conservatory as it's the only space we have for it. I haven't noticed any difference other than the same as a pp about clothes going cold if it isn't emptied right away.

Mines a Hotpoint. About 2 years old. No idea which model. It's an 8kg one.

We bought a Bosch at Christmas £500 lasted 8 days. Replaced it with a condenser model from Beko half the price. We spoke to a local repair man after the event and he has lots of unrepairable heat pump ones after 2-3 years, so do the sums and see if its worth the extra expense would you really be saving money?

unless you do a hell of a lot of tumble drying, the energy saving isn't worth the massive extra cost. Especially if they will only last a couple of years.

Thanks for all your replies, much appreciate your opinions/experiences.
We have decided to go for a Beko condensor as it seems to fit better with what we need overall weighing it up-hopefully will be ok!

Mine is a Bosch, not sure which model.

Mine is a bosch condensor that is plumbed in - I looked into the heat pump ones, but they said that they didn't work in garages. I have a Beko freezer in there too - fantastic freezer, better than the one in the main kitchen.
