Help! Need advice for bathroom paint colour

Hi... I have a small powder room with no windows. The flooring is white and the wall containing the basin is black tiled about halfway ( pic for reference). What colour should I paint the walls? My partner is not keen on leaving it white or open to wallpapering. ( which were my thoughts) What colour would work best here?

Thanks in advance

I think a pale dove grey/blue would look nice. Just make sure it's a fresh-looking colour rather than a tired brownish one.

I think DH may have to compromise on wallpaper if he wants to keep the red accessories. They could complement a bold paper, such as a geometric pattern, or toucans, or a jungle or something, but if he wants a neutral paint colour you're going to struggle with the red.
Grey, black, white and red is going a bit 80s. Try hanging a saxophone on the wall as well

Paint it a really dark colour. I've done this in two bathrooms now and it's a good strong look. One dark teal the other dark grey.

Thanks for all your suggestions. Upon further thinking, have decided to ditch the red accessories.

Not sure if I want to go with light or dark coloursHmm does anyone have pictures of bathroom with no windows?

I have dulux rock salt on my walls in my bathroom with no window
Will try and find a pic

GuyFawkesDay · 21/01/2020 21:37

Just done our upstairs bathroom bin Dulux coastal grey and I love it. It's a real "is it blue or grey?" colour and is so restful.

GuyFawkesDay · 21/01/2020 21:38

Downstairs loo is window less and it has white tiles so it's a now gone homebase own bathroom pain similar to mineral mist

Cherrypies · 21/01/2020 23:35

Just done our bathroom, in duck egg blue, I always thought blue was too cold a colour for the bathroom, I was wrong, really pleased with it.

Thank you all for your suggestions. After browsing through lots of bathroom images... Have decided to go with a dark colour bathroom. Really like this dark blue colour ( attached pic) Does anyone know what colour it is?

Ooooh nice. Looks like my downstairs loo. Mine is Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Blue.

Thinkle · 24/01/2020 18:14

I think navy and black is perfect at the moment.
And you must listen to @Reearry Because when I put farrow and ball Railings (their nearly black paint) they recommend stiffkey blue to go with it!!
Choosing colour combos via the farrow and ball website is my new obsession.

Thanks for the recommendations @lilgreen and @Thinkle. I am loving naval SW6244. Looking for a good dupe in Dulux if possible

Loving navy, it looks like french navy, I was going to suggest teal.

I know you said no to wallpaper but like @viques says the room could really take a bold pattern. I like this personally.
