Subsidence (part II) WWYD

hi all,
just before xmas i posted a www.mumsnet.com/Talk/property/3753874-Is-subsidence-a-massive-deal-in-London?pg=2 thread about possible subsidence in the house we were buying. We had a structural engineers survey done, and he said that they were fine cracks and due to age (house is from 1910).
So we are now in the house (which we love), and it seems like there is something pretty wonky about the place. Sloped hall floor, crack in front garden wall, worrying cracks everyone really. I'm not sure what to actually do. We will be selling in about 10 years, so no rush, but do we just go room by room to replaster, and just wait to see if it gets worse? That's what the structural engineer suggested, but what if there its a collapsed drain or something? I don't want the house to fall apart around us!
I realise I'm rambling a bit, but not sure what to do.. any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

A collapsed drain probably won’t cause a sloping hall floor! Why didn’t the structural engineer give you a full report on all the wonky aspects and their causes? That would have been useful. I would go back to them and ask what is causing all of this? Then you would know exactly what needs to be put right.

A garden wall is likely to be shoddy building and insufficient foundations. Is it a retaining wall? Even a standard garden wall needs proper design to stop it moving! That’s one for the future but replastering isn’t going to help your wonky hall floor.

Where is the hall in the house? Are there any cracks in the hall? What is supporting the hall floor? Is there a cellar?

Well BubblesBuddy - how much information do you want? I have two reports, floorplan and the ability to upload photos, so the world is your oyster... I'll see if I can cobble something together over the weekend Grin
