Planning utility room and need to get it right! Area is 3.5m x 2.8m. Windows on 1 long and 2 short sides. Use as ironing room with steam generator. Advice needed for ceiling extractor to help with condensation. Will have underfloor heating plus radiator and new double glazing. Need high capacity ceiling flush extractor which won’t rust and will keep room steam free! Vented to outside.

There's a designer called oneplan who used to cone onto Mumsnet to help with questions like this. She's on Houzz still if you wanted to find her there.

My advice having recently had one like you describe.

Had the piping put in for heating but at the last minute asked them to leave it as the room quickly got warm with freezers and dryers etc in it

So, the room is normally cool but not cold. The freezers kick out heat. When the dryer is on it gets warm.

It has a fan due to building regs but I never use. The window being open is ideal.

If you have UFH put in then make sure it is in a separate circuit to other areas that you can slow the flow or switch off completely as I suspect you won't use much at all

I have a laundry room with toilet, butler sink, washing machine & tumble drier in it. I keep my airers in there too. It has a radiator and underfloor heating. In winter I keep a dehumidifier in there (stands in sink and drains directly). No condensation issues at all.
