Windowless bathroom-vent in the loft mould

Buying a house with no window and vent into loft space. The survey says there is some mould which is likely to be the cause. How can this be fixed, it is an old house, is it possible to put a vent in the roof?

Yes, but the purpose of a roof is to keep the rain out, and holes in roofs are the opposite. More often the duct is led out through a gable wall, or (especially in older houses) the eaves.

If it has to go through the roof, get a roofer to fit a ventilation tile which is available in black or terracotta to blend in.

Rigid duct is preferable to flexible hose. It is more durable and holds less condensation and fluff.

You can get some good modern inline ducted fans that are powerful and near silent. Post a photo of your old one please.

I don’t have a photo but the bathroom is in between two bedrooms and the house is attached to another house so there is no where to ventilate

I meant a photo of your fan.

We vented ours that had no window, out under the eves of the house, using riged plastic ducting.
