Waterproof laminate?

We are in the process of fitting a new bathroom. The bathroom has been fairly recently carpeted when we moved into this house. I always hated it but it was too good to justify ripping up IYSWIM. However, now is my chance for a complete change! I am going for a blue and white nautical type theme and think laminate is probably my preferred option - white oak or another fairly pale shade probably.
But there seems to be a huge price range. I don't want to buy cheap and buy twice, but at the same time we are trying to keep the price down as we've had some large and unexpected expenditure recently.
I'm looking at some QuickStep laminate that is about £33 per sqm, plus whatever the underlay etc costs.
Just wondered if anyone else had laid laminate in a bathroom and if so, has it lasted well? And if you don't mind saying, roughly what did you spend?

This is purely from research, rather than experience, but I would not use laminate because ultimately it's wood inside and may one day warp due to the moisture.

I would use LVT. The rigid click stuff is very similar to laminate. If you are laying planks remember to leave a gap around the edge, covered by the skirts.

The price you mentioned is about right for very good LVT bought online, you can get cheaper.

I've ordered some lovely Karndean stuff for £31 per m2.

Thanks. I will take a look at alternatives but I know I won't be able to persuade my DH to buy Karndean again. We had it put down in our kitchen a few years ago and it has been a huge disappointment. We paid a fortune for it and it has marked terribly plus the corners of a lot of the pieces are starting to lift.

It is the only time we have ever paid for professionals to do anything on the house for us and we wish we hadn't bothered!

Was that glue down or the rigid planks?

Glue down. We would have done the click together type ourselves but this needed special floor preparation apparently.
