Has anyone straightened a wonky (60s) roof?

Hiya, we are buying a house and the point of the roof is slightly off centre (wonky) it must’ve been all the rage in the 60s but I really don’t like it. Is it possible to make it a normal shaped roof? Or do anything to disguise or change it? Any ideas welcome!

A photo of the roof would help with making suggestions.

Similar to this... just off centre

Personally, I think you’d be wasting a lot of money, time and energy to completely re-roof the whole house a symmetrical one. It may not even be permitted under building regulations as the height of the roof may change as a result. I’d be more tempted to render the house, if feasible, as the tile hung and brick finish up seems to emphasise the off centre roof on that picture.

It would be very expensive. You would have to take off all the tiles, strip off the felt, take out the roof timbers, and then rebuild. It would the Thousands £££. It’s a major job and not worth it. The house is of that era.
