Looking for mirrored bathroom cabinet that can be set into the wall

I am looking for a mirrored bathroom cabinet (say 60 cm wide and 60 cm tall) that can be recessed into a wall so it is inside the wall with the doors that just looks like a mirror flush with the wall. I have bought and returned 2 that said they could do this but my builder is saying they are not correct as the frame at the front needs to be wider then the back so it catches on the wall (sorry that is probably not a great explanation). Has anyone got a cabinet they have set in the wall and if so can they please tell me where they got this? Thank you

I am very confused!

If you have a builder in, why isn’t he just building a frame in the wall and having glass cut to fit whatever gap he wants/needs?

glass doors, couple of hinges, build an alcove and shelf?

Why on earth would you over complicate and make it more expensive by trying to find something else? He (can even fit it with whatever lights he or you want

We got ours from Chadder, I think you can find them online by googling Chadder and Co Bathrooms

I thought that too.

He said he can create but going by past finishes on freehand attempts I would rather buy pre made if possble :) Also where does one purchase glass doors from - a mirror shop? Thanks.

A glaziers.

You need a better/proper builder!

This really is an insanely easy task that he should/could be making margin on whilst still saving you money.

Buying in if you have a “builder” on site in madness

Your builder should organise the glass. My bathroom fitters cut down part of a cabinet carcass to give the insides of a built cabinet of the kind you're talking about a wipeable finish. But that's about it; they had glass shelves cut, mirrors for inside and out, fitted doors, etc.

You can buy them though. Just google.

The back and front should be the same and hung just like a kitchen wall unit, at the back on brackets. but if flush and in the wall it should have a base to sit on so can just be screwed in the back or the sides
If the front is to catch the wall it will not be flush.
The unit should be 3/4mm smaller all round than the space it is going into.
Sounds like your builder just wants to make it as any unit will work that you have already found if the sizes work

Just make sure you choose either stud wall or brick wall version.
