Who’s currently having an extension and still living in their house?

We are 4 months in to a 2 story side and back extension.

I’m so over it.

We are not even going to be able to put decorations up for Christmas as it’s too dusty and some of the floors won’t be down. When we originally made the plan we thought we would be mostly finished by Christmas but not so much! Kitchen is due to be fitted the week before Christmas so plenty of room for that to go wrong too 😂 although it’s already been pushed back twice so hopefully no more....

Who else is living through an extension nightmare that is not going to be done for Christmas??

Not an extension but entire internal remodel that was meant to be finished weeks ago.

Still living in a building site here!

My 8 to 10 week build and new kitchen started early August.
We're still not finished

We're just day 2 into a four month single storey rear extension. Bit gutted I haven't got four new walls built already Grin

Sorry to jump on thread but I am in early stages of planning an extension - single storey - and don't know where / how to start. Not a maybe project I'm thinking it will be about 30k, but can anyone tell me what order I do things in? Get builder, plans done, contact council etc. I haven't a clue! Should I use an architect? Again, no clue! Any tips from your own experience would be appreciated! Smile

@catmg not sure where you are in the country but my single storey extension is costing £70k for the actual build. Adding in bifolds, flooring, decor etc will be circa £85k and I'm not having a new kitchen. I'd be amazed if you can do it for £30k.
