Lots of Condensation on Aluminium Windowa

I just moved into a house and all looked ok before.

But having moved in for only a few weeks, I notice lots of condensation on the bedroom windows.

The rest of the house doesn't seem to have any damp issues.

The condensation are on the inside. If I leave them, they turn into black mould.

There is heating in the room.

These are aluminium windows frames. Is that the cause of the condensation and is the only permanent solution to replace the windows with UPVC? Or is there a cheaper alternative?

I can keep wiping them but I will like a more permanent solution as the condensation doesn't seem right.

I lived in a house with the same windows. Every morning in the winter, the windows and sills would be running with water - even with the window opened to allow ventilation. I cracked and had UPVC windows fitted and that solved the issue. Sorry.

I have these windows and the exact same problem.
I got a dehumidifier which I leave on over night and it fixed the issue

Aluminium windows are known for this. I second a dehumidifier. Wipe around the frame and seals with diluted bleach or mold killer.

This is completely normal as the weather gets colder.
Just use a window vac on them each morning and open the window for a bit each day to air your house.

Also, everybody I know with UPVC windows has the exact same problem.

Older aluminium windows don't have a thermal break so the frame gets colder and condensation can appear....we are now in 'condensation season'.

Trying to keep the humidity down by ventilating well or using a dehumidifier and keeping the room warm are the only ways of solving the issue without changing the window or the sealed unit (a new unit with a warm edge space may work).
