Would you buy this house for £300k? It’s on the edge of the Lake District NP

AHHH SORRY OP!!!

I think that 300 is a fair price, great garden.

FrogFairy · 21/10/2019 23:03

I think a blank canvas is a good thing. Most people want to make their own mark on a home but a blank canvas is perfectly pleasant to live with while you choose you own decor.

I would much rather live with a neutral, clean decor them some of the migraine inducing rooms that sometimes feature on property threads here.

I like it - but then I like bungalows. No idea about pricing, although a friend of mine bought a new 2 bed bungalow also edge of Lake District for £180,000 a year ago (is a semi though!).

Where abouts @spickle

You pay the EA and you are their customer. Don't be pushed into marketing at a price you think is too high. It'll only sit on the market and you'll end up reducing.

MikeUniformMike · 22/10/2019 19:02

It's a bungalow, and you don't get many of those.
As people get older, they will seek a bungalow.

I live in Cumbria, but not in the National Park.
My postcode is a CA one and I believe that one would have an LA one ?
Which is also not in the LD national park .
Prices are very much dependant on how close you are to it, and will of course have an impact. How much are bungalows selling in say a 10 miles radius ?

LoveagoodLuna · 22/10/2019 21:53

Yes we are an LA postcode. We live half a mile from the LDNP border.

Bungalows go for loads here, 2 beds selling for £260-280 in similar or more dated condition.

We’re also on the edge of the village and the field behind is owned by surrounding neighbours so it doesn’t get built on

I can be in Butermere in 20 minutes but as I said not in the national park.
The river Derwent is just 5 minutes from my house but I should imagine my house is worth less than what you are hoping for yours . I'll say again up here prices are relative to where you are. Good luck.

Thanks @victoria
