How much do you think this would be?

We want to extend our tiny kitchen, it measures around 9' x 6' currently and I'd want to go directly outwards to double the size. It would be a galley style.
I realise it's a piece of string type of question but I don't want to waste people's time if we just couldn't afford it, how much do you have think it would cost? Are the general estimates of £1500 per sq m reliable? I'm in the north west.

Depends but I'd say at least fifty grand before the kitchen.

You could try this although I've no idea how accurate it is.

Depends on where in the country and also the value of your house... In the northwest you are looking at a lot less than southeast. But get recommendations and don't go for the ones who are immediately available. Good builders are in high demand right now

A bit different, but we looked at having our conservatory knocked down and built as a proper extension. The room is probably a bit bigger and no knocking through, but quite were £18-25k for slightly different things, but basically the build, electric, glazing etc. We are South-East, outside of London.

Our extension was a lot bigger but cost £50k An extension half the size doesn't cost half as much alas

It should cost 15-18k for the extension then your kitchen itself on top.
I work in n/w and that’s what I would charge.
