Butcher's trolley for small appliances eg toaster?

Short on surface space in my kitchen. Would a butchers block work as a solution and be ok for the toaster? I cannot see why not.
Any recommendations?

I don't see why not. The only issue might be plugging the toaster in. Will the lead reach?

We did for a couple of years. It was fine.

We did put a melamine tray on top to make cleaning easier, now I think about it.

Thanks. Yes the lead should reach as there is a socket right behind.

I use the cube shelving unit from IKEA. £20 for a 4 block one & it's amazing xx

We have one. It has lockable wheels so the soda stream can go on it. We got ours on eBay because people buy them and don’t use them! £400 one for £100 as new! Had to collect though.

Oooh meant to say ours is a Pembroke /t&g I think. I remember looking at loads in John Lewis and various kitchen shops and they were all a bit flimsy. You get what you pay for.

If it's on the top it would be ok, but if it has flammable materials above it, ie if it's on a shelf under, then it's a fire hazard .
