B & Q Kitchens?

We are currently planning our new kitchen and have had quotes from Howdens and DIY Kitchens. My husband has taken himself into B & Q and the quote is about £1800 cheaper for a similar kitchen. I am not keen but I dont really have any evidence to say no, so please tell me your stories about B & Q kitchens, the good and the bad.

I was told B and Q no longer have fitters and the kitchens are now DIY.
We have a Howdens kitchen, but it was an insurance job and they chose the Howdens quote over Wren. We had our own fitters.

I have holiday home with a DIY kitchen and B&Q laundry . Can't say ones specifically stand out as better than other. Both do the job.

Depends on who you have put it all together and who installs the kitchen and tiles. Just because something costs less doesn't mean it's rubbish. When properly installed it can last and look lovely.

Trowels is right. The fitting is the most important part.

No the design is the most important part. Could be fitted beautifully, but if the design is wrong, it's wrong !

Most people really don't invest enough time getting that bit totally right, they just let some salesperson do that bit.

We worked on our ground floor update with an independent concept planner (OnePlan) and then shopped around to buy the furniture bits from wherever we liked.

Much better way to get things right IME.
