Security lighting for side-access alley? Recommendations please.

The security light in this picture is broken and wasn't great when it was working because it only illuminated the area around the door rather than the whole alley, so it still felt quite dark when coming home late at night. Can anyone recommend something that will light the corridor well, without disturbing my neighbours too much? I'm thinking of something like this: www.toolstation.com/sirocco-led-pir-spotlight-ip44/p59248, because it looks like it will give good control over where the beams are pointing, but I'm worried it might be a bit too bright (and it's also a bit ugly).

I can't really see your old light, but for directional lamps that can be pointed at your path, not shining at the neighbours, some kind of spotlight would do. I think you need to illuminate the far end of the path as wel as your entry

These can be mounted on a wall (a ground spike is also supplied) and you could point one towards the back of the alley, and one around the door. The do not come with a PIR or photocell. Is there a light switch inside the house? You can get one with a timer or photocell to turn the lamps on at night. With a modern 5W LED in each they will be very cheap to run.

Or you could fit any kind of lantern where www.tlc-direct.co.uk/tcl/search?query=dusk+lamp&Submit=Search the bulb itself contains a dusk to dawn photocell

I can't see a downward shining wall lamp that looks idea, but have a browse on here.

I presume you have a single cable coming out of the wall, or (preferably) an outdoor junction box with the cables entering from underneath (no holes in the top for rain to get in). If your lamps come with weatherproof cables you can space them either side of the junction box.

You will need a drill, plasplugs, and rustproof screws.
