Back garden backs on to school field. Good or bad?

I’m looking to buy a house at the moment. Seen one that I like. It backs on to a school field though. What are the pros and cons of this?

Is it an academy? When they take over from the local authority they own the land/buildings and lots sell the land off as soon as they can to make a nice profit for the companies that own them

Most schools are open to sports clubs on an evening and weekend.

It’s a junior school, can they be academies?

Not bothered about balls and hula hoops, can just chuck them back when doing the gardening.

I’ll have a drive over one evening and see if I can book the viewing for a lunch time to check out noise and see if I can spot any CCTV and high fences.

You don't necessarily need to book a viewing OP; just have a wander about around the neighbourhood.

Any school can become and academy

I work from home next door to a junior school and next door but one to a huge comprehensive. Problems are parking and twatty parents. The noise is fine doesnt bother me, except on the primary school sports day once a year when the head teacher is insufferable, i wonder if she knows how far her voice carries.

My only concern is the high school, that has planning permission for flood lights and all weather pitch to be rented out to local clubs etc.

Floodlights are around 200 feet from our bedroom windows and will be on until 11pm at night.

Objection in.

Be careful.
