What’s the going rate for a new boiler?

Looking to have a new combi boiler installed in a different location to the old one. Has anyone had this done lately and can sanity check me on a decent price to have a medium sized Worcester Bosch installed?

Price we’ve got is 3-4 grand depending on size but I’ve been over charged in the past. I’m in London which will bump up the installation element of course.

Just had one installed in Scotland for £3250. This was Ideal Vogue 40something. Also included it being moved, three new radiators and a nest installation.

I originally wanted WB but the warranty on the Ideal was better and the installer really rated them. I don’t think WB are necessarily the best anymore, just the most well known.

You MUST get a Nest btw. So handy already and it’s not even winter.

Same as @MissMarplesKnitting (price and spec!), Is also under warranty for 10 years for parts and labour.

we had this issue a couple of years ago including having to re-site the boiler. We were quoted around £4k as we had to have some stuff done to the utility room to allow for. new boiler in there.

However we decided to opt for an air- source heat pump instead. The government subsidy means we break even and it's brilliant. Worth exploring.

I had a high output Viessmann (for a 4 bed with 2 bathrooms) put in last year and it was £2700. It’s got a 5 year warranty which you can increase to 10.

My plumber was really decent guy - gave me a range of options and prices. He installs WB but says that they aren’t always the best product but people like to pay for a brand they recognise. I could have had a WB for £200 extra but I didn’t bother.

£3,900 for removal of old boiler and installation of new Worcester Bosch in new position plus new vent (is that the right word?) drilled in external wall and pipes to connect the new boiler to the existing pipe work.

I'm ideal accredited so can offer a 12 year warranty, could do with a few more details first though, I think I'll be able your best quote. Smile

@Pabs42 I’m sure the OP can find their own tradesman
