We have been trying to sell our house since April. The bloody thing is taking forever. I am beyond impatient now and don't know what the heck to do... I want our house to sell ASAP.

Side note: House is on at £550,000.
We've had 3 buyers. All chains collapsed.
6 offers between £543,000 and 575,000.

Reduced the house to £550,000 from 575,000. Thinking of reducing again to £535,000 but EA saying wait.

The house across the road sold in 3 days!

Changed EA once as well... apparently the house is perfect, neutral colours, tidy, clean... etc.

HELP ME...

Two other buyers can't buy unless we drop to £500k!

Are you with an online or high st EA?

If you want to get new interest in your house then take it off the market, and relist with a new agent. Then it will appear as a new listing in people's email alerts. If it's been on for a while, even if it's being reduced, it'll be right at the bottom of people's lists. Also - if people see a house has been on the market for some time then they may think there's an issue with it and avoid it.

With a high street agent and online everywhere...

Its only dated as being on for 4 weeks because our sale fell through so RM updates the date if you lose your buyer.

Its the chains that keep collapsing from other buyers.

You won't fix that by reducing the price, you're just doing yourself out of more money. People are nervous, Brexit is coming to a head; they could commit to something now and it plummet in value.

You are obviously getting buyers though the door so there can't be much wrong with your house. I would say it's just luck, or in your case bad luck unfortunately Sad Just just need that one buyer who's not in a chain!!

RM send out emails as if it’s a new house when you reduce the price. It will come up for people searching for new listings too. So there’s no need to change agent. It’s just terrible timing for you, you may well have to wait until after Brexit (and the crash that follows) to keep a chain together.

We weren't planning on changing agent Smile
