Bathroom vanity units

Can anyone recommend a supplier? We are refitting our en-suite using a local company and have to choose the vanity unit. They have suggested Roca, Lauren and Flaminia as options - we like one from Flaminia but have no idea if it’s a decent quality option. It’s pricey but obviously that doesn’t necessarily mean anything!

Hopeful bump & I meant Laufen not Lauren!

I can't help with brands but one thing I will say is make sure the sink itself is deep enough to use. Ours is pretty, but do shallow that it is utterly pointless and just throws water on the floor.

Agree with pp, it seems to be the fashion now for sinks to be shallow, especially those which fit over a vanity unit. Don't get me wrong, vanity units are great for storage but watch out for shallow sinks!

Thank you for the warnings! So much to consider with all of this!

One thing you could try is going to local showrooms and seeing if they have any ex demo units or prepared to sell demo stock. I got a lovely duravit vanity and sink for £500 when it was on sale for £1300!

It all boils down to personal taste, how much you're willing to spend, and the practicality of the unit itself. IMO you should buy based upon your specific needs, rather than the brand.

Our old basin was awful, it wasn't fitted fully level, and had no lip on the edge, water used to drip on the floor after each use. I just used a bog-standard IKEA setup, which cost £200 including unit, basin, and taps. The new one has a lip on the edge, and the vanit unit has feet (didn't want to risk fitting a basin and floating vanity unit to a stud wall), and most importantly the bathroom floor is now dry.

We always get our bathroom stuff from www.paramountbathrooms.co.uk/

Excellent prices and brilliant quality.

Thanks all. I’ll keep looking!

Agree that shallow sinks are a pitfall to be avoided! We've just renovated our bathroom and got JT Ellis furniture (wanted additional storage either side of sink unit) from a local supplier. Not cheap but it was made to order and we're very happy with it😀.HTH
