Stud wall and pocket doors

Hi.

Has anyone erected a stud wall in between two rooms and installed a pocket door system? If so, are you happy with it and roughly how much did you pay for materials and labour. Am getting some very varied quotes so looking for some real life experience.

Thanks!

Bumping! Also interested in how noise preventative they are.

I used Eclisse and opted for the additional duel soft close with antislam.

It's great and good quality. Visit their website, they have videos.

The kit with soft close cost about 300 and included the pocket studwork, sliding mechanism and wooden jamb.

Thanks. So was that the kit for a single.or double door and did you buy the doors separately? Also I assume that most walls are noj standard size. Sorry, the website was a bit confusing but I like the look of the technology!

Also following as I was thinking about this too. We have narrow communicating spaces even though our rooms are big and it’s so annoying to have doors clash with other doors or cupboards and wardrobes fitted just as you walk into a room ( previous owners were obsessed with stick something to obstruct the entry into a room) 🤔

We did it for the en suite in our bedroom. It has a steel frame inside the stud wall, glides as smooth as glass. We love it. Dh paid about 200 for the internal frame and all the bits needed. Used a door that matches the rest of the house. Dh did all the install plastering and painting himself so no idea on that cost.

How is the sound Troels? Does it block sound fairly well?

Also used Eclisse, about 10 years ago and can't recall the costs.

I wouldn't say it's soundproof, but it certainly does the job I wanted.

I think the sound proofing will depend on the door you use, ours is a standard interior door, so it blocks the same as if I closed the normal bedroom door. We have a fan that runs for 8 minutes after the light goes off as the ensuite has no window. I can't hear that once in bed and can't hear Dh with his electric toothbrush either.

That’s helpful, thanks Troels!
