Would this put you off? The house is thread apart from no window in the bathroom!

Even when I lived in NYC I had a window in the bathroom, and this is rural

I wouldn’t want it myself, but as long as the ventilation system is effective enough to prevent mould and condensation, it should work ok. I like natural daylight, fresh air and plants in the bathroom, but both my DDs have homes where there’s no bathroom window and they manage ok.

By the way, your thread title sounds like the whole bungalow has no windows- that would definitely be a deal breaker!

It wouldn't be a deal breaker, as I would get a hold made and a window installed. Not impossible.

Lots of hotel bathrooms don’t have windows! They can be ultra luxurious. It’s not very unusual. Put in a rooflight? That’s easy in a bungalow! Watch the sky from the bath! Could be great.

Just have an Envirovent thing that comes on every time the light is on. No damp/condensation issues in 4.5 years?

I definitely would not want a house with no windows.

Lots of new builds have no bathroom windows. You could have one put in if you really wanted it.

And it was possible, of course. Light tunnel if not possible.

I bought a house with a bathroom that was ‘land locked’ in the middle of the house, but it was a renovation project and we shifted the bathroom back on the floor plan so it had an external window.
If the floor plan is otherwise good and the bathroom had a good extraction fan, no sign of mould etc it wouldn’t be a deal breaker. Could you potentially install a window?

Our two bathrooms do not have windows. When we moved in we installed very good quality high CFM fans that are on a timer switch. They are Panasonic brand and are extremely quiet and efficient. No steam builds up at all when showering and unpleasant smells are gone quickly.

So no window, no problem.

It's got no outside wall, unless I knock down the guarage.

I just feel like a bath in there wouldn't be very nice and in general it wouldn't be nice. I'm not sure why a house in the 90s would do this.

I'll still have a viewing and see if a window or something can be put in the cealing. Although wouldn't that need something in the roof and the ceeling?

I bought a house like this and added a velux window. Less than £500 and transformed the place.

We have had a no window bathroom in the last two houses, both had/have a good extractor fan connected to the light switch and they run for a short while after the light goes off. No problem.
