Is it ok to Photoshop on some hanging baskets for the photos?

Just two hanging baskets as it's getting a bit late to put my own up.

I'm not sure if that's against the rules? I've noticed agents photoshoping a bright blue sky on photos. It doesn't seem too bad to me as adding some hanging baskets is easy enough to do and make look like the photos.

Buy a couple of ready made or fake ones.

Ready made ones aren't available anywhere and the fake ones look way worse than a good Photoshop imo.

It could make it look like the photos were taken a long time ago (possibly last year if you know about plants?) if potential buyers see them online and then drive past and they aren’t there. Which might be off-putting.

This is hilarious! Unless you’re an Adobe pro, I wouldn’t. Also, if you prettify your house just in photos, you risk viewers being surprised by the real thing and wondering why it’s not like the photos. Hanging baskets really aren’t expensive or hard to hang up.

Ok, if readymade ones aren’t available, buy the baskets, some compost and some geraniums. And put the plants in the basket!

I wouldn't either. It'll make the photos look old, unless people figure it out - and either way; they'll be wondering why you're using old/edited photos. It'd put me off enough not to look around.

I do some Photoshop stuff at work, I've got the images perfectly cut out. Need to blend them and it will look authentic, although might need to find better images so that it's not two identical baskets.

It'll make it look like it's August / September when the photos were taken.

Was just thinking about two baskets, that's it.

Also, when you prettify the front of your house, it's for 'kerb appeal' which means that people will drive by your house to see if they like the look of it, having seen the photos of it. You want the house to look even better than the photos if possible, not worse.

Well with Brexit I was thinking it's likely to stay for sale over the winter. So when people see it in person won't they just think the summer is over?

I think you'd be better off putting some evergreens in pots by the door or in baskets for viewers to get the vibe in real life, rather than photoshopping something that won't make much difference

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 12/08/2019 08:51

I was in a garden centre just yesterday which had big flowering baskets out front and more for sale inside at £15 a pop.

Of course they are available!

PS. If people come to view and there isn't so much as an empty bracket, won't that look odd?
