Do I need building regs?

Hi all, I've recently upgraded my conservatory my means or removing the old pvc one and raising the dwarf wall by 3 courses, adding brick columns on the corners and a light weight synthetic tiled roof with 3 full length windows and double glazed windows each side. I didnt seek building regs as it's still a conservatory. But did carefully research building regs before hand and followed these. All the walls are fully insulated, as is the roof with between and under rafter insulation, vapor barrier etc. Fully breathable.
I now want to remove the wall between this and my kitchen. It's more of a column rather than a full wall as it has a pair of doors one side and a window the other. I have a structural engineer coming to make calculations for the steel beams required and he said he'll also take care of the building notice so that the local authority building inspection can be arranged.

My question is, firstly will they say no? Even though the conservatory is now technically upto an extension standard.

An am i likely come accross any issues with building control if they come round, ie are they going to say anything about the conservatory work??

If you want to class the conservatory as a room you will need building regs . When you come to sell the house solicitors or the buyer might ask for building regs for that room.
