Lean to type building to house tumble drier and dry washing?

Is that even possible? A shed would maybe do but we’ve got space right by the kitchen which would presumably make electricity easier to connect ?

We really need some more space so my other thought is a garden pod or a sun room /conservatory but I think for now if I could just get the tumble drier and washing out then it would help

Friends once had their washing machine and tumble dryer in a Keter outside store and connected them up to water, electrics and drain outside. Worked brilliantly when there wasn't space in the kitchen.

Thanks ok so it sounds like it could work in a shed and there is just about room out there for that I think

Thought Keter was a typo for shed but just googled - interesting thank you

We have a drier outside in a covered passageway. Been there for years and works fine.

Thanks that’s good to know. In an ideal world we’d have an extension with utility, small office space and then add to the general living space which is tiny but haven’t enough money so looking at options and shed with drier in the would help- maybe then adding in a summerhouse for some extra space at some point

We have a tumble dryer in our Keter shed. Note that a shed actually needs to be detached from the house for it to be a shed, not an extension. Ours is some way away due to the fire risk etc.

Ok thank you. Hm yes good point so I can’t have it where I was thinking (to the left of the kitchen door outside- on decking) as that would be very close to the house . Out of interest , do you know how much it was roughly to get the electricity out there?

We added outdoor sockets and run an extension lead when we use the tumble dryer. From memory it was around £100 as it was a fairly easy job given we have a power socket on the other side of the wall. We had it done with some other jobs at the same time so the extra was worth it. We live in a lower cost area to get work done.

In laws have theirs in the garage. The house we are looking at has them in an outhouse. Friend has hers under the stairs.

Thanks , we have ours in the garage currently but it’s attached to the house iyswim. That’s reassuring re prices too!
