What else can I do with down stairs loo

My downstairs loo is quite big and there’s some wasted space behind the door. It’s not deep enough to add built in storage but would it be odd to add coat hooks or some type of shoe storage? Can I store coats in the loo? There was a bookcase in there at one point (supposed to be temporary but stayed there for 3 years) but that didn’t look right.

Alternatively, and probably less work, you could add a partition wall between the radiator and the vanity, move the door to that partition wall, and turn the section with the radiator in it into a coat lobby area. Then your coats are separate.
