Do you have meile dryer? Does it dry properly?

Online review says it leaves clothes moist even on extra dry setting? Is this true? I really cant spend time on air drying afterwards.

Does it release stem around. My current dryer is john lewis own brand heatpump and it leaves the wall and windows behind it damp. I have to run dehumidifier next to it. It also only dries properly in cotton extra dry setting. all other settings are useless.

I am looking at buying Meile heatpump dryer. Mostl likely this model. I am totally broke after buying our new house and to spend this kind of money on dryer it needs to be an improvement over the current one.

We have that one and it dries stuff fine! I use the cottons setting 99% of the time. The minimum iron setting does leave them a bit damp.

Ours is in the utility room and there are no condensation issues at all.

Had mine for 16 years! Brilliant. Use “ normal “ setting and that’s fine for most things. Miele is the best imo

I use the cottons setting on mine and it’s fine. If you use delicates or minimum iron then it can be a little damp when it comes out, sometimes I put them onto an airer, sometimes I just put them back in again.

I invested in a Miele washing machine and tumble drier three years ago and have no regrets.

I have one. It’s a condescending one with a drawer that collects the water and needs to be emptied, although it can also be plumbed in to the outlet from the sink. It doesn’t throw any moisture at all into the air. For comparison we have a condensing dryer of a different brand in our holiday house and we can only run it with the door open and a through breeze as it throws out so much vapour.

The Miele does sometimes leave clothes a bit damp, usually because one item throws off the sensor. I have a jersey top which is extremely thick material which I now air-dry as if I put it in with a mixed load of jeans and t-shirts then none of it dries fully. My drier also has different settings of dryness, so if I think the load has heavy items I set it to ‘extra dry’. My main problem with it is that it prioritises energy efficiency over speed so a load of drying takes ages.

Condensing not condescending, flipping autocorrect. 😂

Thank you for all replies. All seems positive. I am fine with long drying time for full dry.

Is there any quick dry setting too? How is it?

Buy a Bosch. We bought ours 20yrs ago & have thrashed it. It still works like new & has different temperature settings. I'm blown away by how fantastic it's been.

Otherpeoplesteens · 16/07/2019 11:13

We looked at Miele heat pump tumble dryers a couple of years back and seemed quite happy with the reviews, but ultimately bought a Bosch heat pump one because it was literally half the price.

We're very happy with it. No moisture released, but the room can get a little warmer. We only use the 'extra cupboard dry' setting and it gets most loads completely dry as long as it's composed of similar things: if there are synthetics mixed with cotton it can confuse the sensors. Similarly, if something like a duvet cover gets tangled in a big knot then it won't dry properly.

abitoflight · 16/07/2019 11:18

I have Miele one - condensing.
It's one of my favourite appliances. After automatic normal plus, sometimes a bit damp. Depending on what it is, I put it on warm air for another 15 to 20 mins or just fold eg T-shirt's and leave on top of machine to air if I'm doing another load
No condensation at all from machine into utility

Oliack1417 · 16/07/2019 11:29

Condescending tumble dryer 😂
I have one, I inherited it when I moved into my house. It's great. Dries perfectly and no condensation etc.

mum2015 · 16/07/2019 19:44

Old Condensing dryers are good in drying but they arent as energy efficient as heat pump one. I am looking at bosch one too but price difference is 200. I can pay extra 200 for miele if i can get assurance that it would be better than the current johnlewis one which i think is AEG.

For its price Miele can be the condescending one over others 😂
