Potential mortgage issue?

We were meant to be exchanging last week, but at the last minute our lender asked for another version of a form that they already had to be signed as some of our house purchase is being made up of inheritance. All good and was sent off to them same day that they requested it.

Been chasing today to see if we can finally exchange only to be told by our solicitor that they want to speak to our mortgage broker again and that they won't be approving the exchange of contracts until they have. This conversation will be taking place first thing tomorrow morning.

Our loan to value ratio is good at 65% - nothing has changed regarding the application, credit score is still excellent etc but we are terrified that we're going to lose the house and that this is code for 'we're withdrawing your mortgage offer'

The only thing that has changed is the signed letter they had regarding the inheritance in the first place specified one amount and in the letter they requested on Friday it had increased slightly as the solicitors had included the extra bit we had been given to help with stamp duty.

I know there's nothing we can do about it for the second but any words of wisdom? Or has anyone had their mortgage offer issued (its been issued for 7 weeks now) only for their lender to suddenly want to speak to their broker at the last minute?

House buying is very stressful.

I'm.a mortgage advisor so maybe I can answer any questions......

Firstly I'm.a but confused though. Who wants to speak to your mortgage advisor- the lender or your solicitor. If the solicitor told you this how do they know & has your mortgage advisor be alerted that the lender wants to speak to @ them
More importantly have YOU spoken to your broker since the new fom was signed & sent back ?
