Higham Furniture kitchens

I am in the process of having a new extension built, knocking down the old conservatory and extending out. Planning application just submitted.

I have been researching kitchens for the last month and it strikes me that most of them are so similar (looking for shaker style), but obviously the price varies.
I have in the last few days found Hingham kitchens on the internet and have to say they look very impressive. They already appear to have what i am planning for our new kitchen, living, dining space but having read some of the previous years articles am feeling reluctant to even ring them for fear of the price being unrealistic.

I have made some notes of the other comments on here e.g. get your own fitter, go for lacquered birch instead of oiled oak veneer and have taken that on board.

My question is has anyone recently had any experience of working with them to build their dream kitchen and if so how was it.

We are working with an architect for our new extension and although our budget is probably around £25k for the kitchen i don't want to compromise by going for a cheaper version if the Hingham prices are worth paying.

We had a new kitchen about 5 years ago from benchmarks which i have to say has been brilliant and ok but i don't want to compromise a beautiful extension with bi-fold doors for a benchmark kitchen now that i have seen Hingham!!!!!

Just have to convince hubby..... Any advice gratefully received....

I used them in my last house and they are just finishing off my new kitchen after I moved.
They have been very helpful to work with and great quality...hence why I am using them a second time. When I sold my last house the kitchen was 5.5 years old and still looked like new.
Why don't you contact them? If you have an idea of the layout you are looking for they will be able to give you an idea of price. If you tell them you are pushed on budget they will suggest cheaper options without skimping on quality.

We have had our Higham kitchen 3 years and it is still beautiful.
Like you OP after costing up the extension we were not sure about spending even more on our kitchen but bit the bullet and compromised on doing our bedroom/en-suite and painting the outside walls at a later date (both of which have now been done in the last year)

So glad we did

If you want to DM me I can send pics!

MM I find them snobbish. Just contacted them regarding plans I had for a quite small kitchen and they turned me down without even providing a quote. It was just not a bog standard enough shape for them. I had followed them on instagram for a while to see what they were posting and they appear obsessed with faux chimneys hiding extractors over Aga, also very snob clients clearly. You are paying for their snobbery I feel, I am looking for a one man band joiner now who can imitate their style. This is what I also did with de Gournay. You can slash the prices of these designers by half if you copy their products and take over the designer function yourself.
