Leaks in conservatory roof

Woke up this morning to find a couple of puddles in the conservatory, and lines of water coming down the wall - this is the exterior wall of the house, where the conservatory joins the building so it's a roofing/flashing issue I think (though conservatory was built at the same time as the house, 10 years ago).

My main problem is that DH and I are going away in a few hours, only overnight, but I don't know what's going to happen while we're away. The rain isn't forecast to stop until Friday. DH going away is non-negotiable, he's got a review meeting first thing tomorrow morning in a hotel 3 hours away, but it's 20 minutes from my parents, so we thought we'd stay overnight with them. I could stay home, but I don't know how to seal anything etc, so is there any point in me staying?

Is there any kind of quick/temporary fix that will last us until the rain stops on Friday and we can get a better look at it?

If your dh is gone what would he do? Is the water damaging anything? Can you just put towels and buckets down until you can fix properly?

*If your dh is"home" what would he do!

He's just leaned out of the bedroom window and put some external silicon along the edge where the conservatory roof meets the wall (there's no flashing Shock), looks bloody awful and had to be done in the wet but hopefully it will help a bit. He couldn't reach the other leaky bit. Got buckets and towels down. Time will tell!

In the longer term I think we'll look at getting flashing sorted. We've talked about ripping down the conservatory to build a proper two-storey extension so maybe it's time to do that Confused

It's usually just a case of it needing re-sealing like your husband's done when ours goes like this - we're a bit luckier since the builder who installed the conservatory lives next door so we just knock on his door and he comes and sorts it. It needed doing a couple of times when it was originally built but hasn't needed doing since then now the seal's obviously all done well.

I'm sat in the conservatory at the moment (it's claimed for my woman cave).
