Kitchen paint - eggshell or matt?

I can’t decide between Dulux Diamond eggshell/matt. I know I’d prefer the look of the matt paint, but I’m hoping to avoid tiling and just have a glass splash back behind the range. I’m concerned that the matt might not be up to it. Do any of you have eggshell? What do you think of it?

I’m having a small extension and moving the kitchen into the original back sitting room/dining room (of a typical semi layout). This means there’s no window behind the sink, so I’m mostly concerned about water splashes (although planning to use dishwasher as much as possible to avoid this —and because I’m lazy—).

I’d stick with specific kitchen paint, which is an option if you go to a Dulux colour mixing place

Matt is a bugger to keep clean.

I think the diamond eggshell is meant for kitchens and bathrooms, like a more hard wearing/premium version of kitchen paint. I'm just worried it will look like a shiny disco wall in my kitchen Grin.

Diamond matt is scrubbable, so I'm wondering whether one of the MN shiny-wall-haters has tried it in a kitchen. I'd definitely go for it if I had tiles behind the sink, but I don't want that either!

We've used the diamond eggshell in our bathroom and it's really quite a matt finish. I've also painted a kitchen chair and an part way through re-painting a cabinet, so far I'm really impressed. Great stuff 👍

Dulux Easycare is specifically for kitchens. It comes in a matt finish.
