Recommend me a glue that really does stick instantly

I need to glue several 100 small plastic beads to a filigree metal frame. They were wired on but I think the wires look a mess so I've stripped them all off. I need a glue with a small nozzle that creates a bond in about 3 seconds. No glues seem to be able to do this any more - I've tried loads. Many of them say 'instant grab' but are repositionable for 10 seconds or more & that means I'm holding the bead for ages. With so many to do I want them to stick almost instantly. Can you recommend a product?

A hot glue gun.

Gorilla glue?

If you put the glue directly into the frame rather than each bead then wait til it goes slightly tacky and quickly put the beads on it should stick better?

BadHairDyeDay · 06/06/2019 19:45

Not gorilla glue. It's not instant and is bright yellow.

The issue may be the weight of the beads. I’d use clear thread if possible instead of white.

Any glue strong enough would probably have to be quite big blobs and look a bit rubbish

e-6000 industrial glue

Glue that is used for warhammers. Citadel I think.

Could you thread them onto sections of wire for each section of the frame and then glue them on as a strip rather than individually? It means that you won’t need to hold each one. A hot glue gun would work for this but if you can get one thin enough I don’t know...

I think a glue gun.
There's lots of videos online as to what to use them for. I want one now!!!

Loctite superglue precision max would be my recommendation.
@Bewarethequietboy's advice regarding threading onto wire first so that you can position a few at a time in a strip rather than doing each individual bead, would make life easier - but don't get glue on the wire as then you wouldn't be able to slide it out!
Then, steal Kirsten Ramsay's technique (The Repair Shop) when she has glued tiny ceramic pieces in place during restoration, use good old sellotape to hold the bead strip in place until the glue dries/sets.
You could then turn the piece round and start working on the opposite side while the first side is drying.

Hot glue gun, it has changed my (crafting) life.

Or....

Invisible thread. Use a needle and sew the beads onto the frame? (Wrapping around like the wire, but with clear thread means you'd get no horrible glue lines)
