Too many doors in a small space?

What option would you pick? The external cupboard is the practical, sensible option but I worry 3 doors in a small space just won’t look right.

I prefer 2 too. Can you make the cupboard door a sliding pocket door?

I would definitely pic the external cupboard otherwise you lose a useful wall in the bedroom. It's just a hall space, I think it will look fine with 3 doors.

What do you intend using the cupboard for?
If it’s large enough for a walk in wardrobe, then the door would be best in the bedroom. If it’s more for general storage, then the door in the lobby area is better. It’s not as if it would be in constant use.

Although I’ll have a utility downstairs this would be the only storage upstairs. I intended to store towel, bedding, bathroom stuff.

Although the room is going to be used by a 4 year old so a large wardrobe to hide all the junk is also appealing.

Put the door in the hall space. There's no reason to have it off the bedroom and it makes much better use of the space. You can make it a hidden door if it bothers you

We have a similar Tri door layout but we have a bifold door on the cupboard which saves so much space.

Our landing is basically just a battery of doors. It'll be fine. You'll need decent lighting there so you can see into the cupboard.

Isn’t the shower room en suite? There is another bathroom. I would take out the wall in option 2 and build in cupboards/wardrobes/drawers on the outer wall and against the bathroom wall to make a dressing area which is significantly more luxurious! I simply would not have a linen cupboard in my bedroom area.

I would, though, instal towel storage in your other bathroom on the unused wall. I would use a portion of the storage in the other bedroom for bed linen or get an ottoman or chest in another bedroom. I wouldn’t compromise my bedroom for linen storage.

The other great storage idea for bedrooms is beds with storage under. I have a two beds with drawers under and use these for linen.

The bedroom is for a 4 year old. I would 100% choose linen storage off the main landing over a luxurious dressing area for a 4 year old.

2 but with a slider door for the wardrobe rather than a hinge
