Home buyer survey. What to to?

Hi all,
We have a home buyers survey scheduled for Thursday. Is there anything specific I need to do or arrange? The house is in good condition, no obvious issues. I'm just a bit stressed about it all as we've accepted our absolute minimum :(

Do I need to present it like a viewing? We always cleaned the house thoroughly inside out for viewings. Will the surveyor take pictures? Survey over half term holidays is nightmare, my kids can turn a show home into a dump within minutes!!

Just try and make sure they have access to the loft and maybe ask someone to have DC if it stresses you. I think a minimum number of toys out would be helpful!

They are looking at boiler, electrics, roof, walls, windows etc. Anything that needs maintenance. It’s all pretty standard. I assume you had one before buying!

The house doesn’t have to be super clean but just make sure the surveyor has access to the rooms and can look around easily. It won’t take long and offer up a coffee!

If everything is more or less ok, and minimal
maintenance is needed, then most buyers accept a low price is a “warts and all” price! If you have a boiler about to give out or a roof that’s leaking, think again! The buyer will, of course, look after their interests and if they do haggle, try and find a middle price but you might have to move a bit on price if they insist and you want to hold on to your buyers!

weve just got back our survey from the house we are buying its empty so the main things the suveyor looked at were inside boiler radiators and electrics, wether there is damp, bathroom wether in good condition, condition of the windows, condition of the flooring what sort of floors, condition of outside and internal doors, outside looked at roof, guttering, garage, and front wall they look at the condition of specific fixtures and fittings rather than the tidyness of your house

Agree with all the above. The surveyor that came to our house also lifted the drainage cover outside to check the flow of water. Good luck, op, it is weird having someone checking over your house. I'm sure all will be well, as it's it in good condition.
