Wood effect tiles

I love the look of wood for kitchen but friends who have wood says they wouldn't have it again. We will be having underfloor heating. So how about wood effect tiles? Any cons?

My friend has wood effect tiles and they look absolutely stunning. She also has underfloor heating. Not sure about cons, she’s never mentioned anything negative.

We've got these wood effect tiles. No problems at all, I'd use them again.

They've just been mopped in this picture, not normally this shiny!

Oh, picture didn't load. Trying against

I think the Porcelanosa ones are fantastic. They are just ceramic tiles so I don’t know why you would not have them again. Some might not have a smooth finish because they replicate a wood grain, but I think that’s why you have them. Tiles are great with ufh. Work really well.

I've got wood effect tiles in my kitchen. I bloody love them! They look like wood but they're easy to clean. I don't have underfloor heating though but it's only a small kitchen.

My brother has them and they look amazing. There is hardly any grout between each tile so it just looks like a wooden floor. His were from Porcelanosa about 6 years ago so I imagine they are much better now with more choice.

We moved into a newbuild about 18 months ago so chose all new flooring.

We used Treverkmade cream ceramic tiles from CTD laid in herringbone (erm, just like the picture as DP has not much originality!)
Here - Wood tiles . They are non slip, but look gorgeous and clean up really well if you have wee mud-monsters, mud-dogs, etc.

I do agree that the Porcelanosa wood-look tiles are most beautiful - sadly we couldn't afford them, but are very happy with what we have, and I did get my way in the Hall where we went for Marshalls Tasman, a blue-ish porcelain wood look tile, utterly stunning and much admired by everyone Marshall's Tiles - DP wanted the lappato (polished) , it's like an ice-rink when wet, but again, easy to look after. I'd advise you to go for the natural finish in kitchens and bathrooms.
