House seller left lots of crap

So we completed a couple of weeks ago and the house seller has left varying bits of furniture, eg a book case, a side caddy, garden rubbish, compost bin, etc etc

It's a pain to get rid of this, we will have to make trips to the tip.

Is there anything that I can do about it or am I stuck with this?

We bought a house and the vendor had left everything, my solicitor contacted theirs and they hired a van and emptied the same day. We moved in a day late and agreed to have the sofa. I was amazed, who sells a house and thinks they don't have to move their furniture out!

We had this. The worst was half a tin of tuna in the fridge. Still clearing them out after 6 months and it’s hard to feel like it’s ours.

I always leave my properties immaculate and even leave a bottle of wine and card to welcome the new owner.
I remember one flat - when I collected the keys from the agent he said the sellers had really kindly left some cleaning stuff in a box for me. I’m not sure what they were thinking the place was disgusting with cigarette butts in the toilets, food crap in the kitchen cupboards and the carpets all filthy with dog pee. And the cleaning stuff was all half used and sticky. Felt like taking the box round to the agents and saying I didn’t appreciate how they left it but what would have been the point. Spent my first few days there being grossed out as I cleaned it. They took the light bulbs too.

We had loads left, some was actually useful eg wardrobes as we moved from somewhere with fitted - we did replace but could take our time. The amount of junk in the garden though was ridiculous, they (or possibly previous) buried rubbish like old mattresses!
