Hi. One of our bathroom sink taps has been dripping for ages now but could be closed if you got the position just right. we've not had it repaired as the while bathroom needs replacing so was going to do altogether. I'm sure it the valve needs reseating as last time we had washer changed was told this likely to be the issue.
This morning it can't be turned off fully at all and the tap doesn't close but keeps turning.
I've switched the water off at the mains but not sure what I do next. Can I repair this myself? Do I replace the whole tap - would that take care of the valve seating? or do I need a plumber?
Thanks!

panic over. spoke to a lovely plumber who told me how to isolate supply to tap and then will come out next week.
