Freestanding bath in small space

I’m buying a new build and against one of the walls in the main bathroom there is a shower cubicle with walls on 3 sides and then around 1800cm for a bath. I know this is a small space but I seem to have my heart set on a freestanding bath... one that’s square to the wall at one end (see photo). It comes in 1500 and 1710mm lengths. I don’t like the idea of it being jammed in between two walls (the external wall of the bathroom which has a window to the outside - and the wall of the shower, hence the Twain I’m thinking of getting the smaller 1500mm one.

Anyone ever had one of these this size? Did it look a little bit too dinky or miniaturised?

Anyone ever have a 1700mm in a
tight space with walls at either end?

Is there anyway I can have one of these in my new bathroom?

A friend has one in a small bathroom, jammed between walls and it looks daft. I think you need to be able to stand back and see space around the bath otherwise it's silly. Sorry.

Bloody hope it will look ok as that's what I'm having installed in 2 weeks time Confused (more of a slipper bath)

I couldn’t imagine what it would look like, so I looked it up on Pinterest and I think it will look fine. There are plenty of examples of it looking good!

Have a look at a 'back to wall' freestanding bath, op.

Two things would worry me (a bit). One is the faff of cleaning under and around it, and, how do you stop water going onto the floor on the side and end against the wall? Apart from that it looks a lovely bath for a long soak.

Freestanding should have space around it. Impossible to clean around it otherwise. Where will the taps go? Are you having them so close to the wall they are impossible to turn on easily or clean? This isn’t really a freestanding look. It’s a hemmed in look.

Where we have this challenging space, we have built in and side taps. Whatever you do, the bath will be short. 1800 is comfortable for taller people. I would never ever use a slipper bath. If you cannot wallow in a bath comfortably, what is the point of it?

Thanks all round folks.
I’ve taken the plunge and ordered a 1500 one but a slipper type.
So helpful to survey a bit of opinion first xx

I hqve a free standing bath in a small bathroom and it looks great. I don't think you need much space round it.

We bought a house with one that has about 3cm between the bath and wall, it's minging and no way of giving it a decent scrub down the side or retrieving renegade bath toys.
