Moved out of a flat last week, replaced all the light bulbs, thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom, cleaned oven, skirting boards, walls washed down, windows cleaned.
Carpet in front room ancient and difficult to make it look nice.
They've told me today that some light bulbs need replacing and that's it's all dirty!
I'm so angry.

Did you take photos or video footage before you left. It's a well known trick/excuse to keep your deposit.

No. I should have done.
Landlord asking for the price of a full clean.
Getting the receipt for the light bulbs tomorrow.
To be fair she hadn't seen the inside of the flat for at least 8 years and has no idea how tired and old it has become

Where's the inventory stating the condition it was in when you first moved in? They can't expect it back in better condition than when you moved in. It's not the agent who is the problem, it's the LL. I suggest you ask for proof it needs cleaning.

My leases say professional clean whether tenant has cleaned it or not. There should be an inventory and it can be disputed. Did they do regular inspections?
I just had tenants move in and they said bathroom vent didn’t work (it did the day before and was on inventory as working) and something else that I can’t remember. I couldn’t do anything if it stopped working overnight it stopped working so I had to pay contractor in to fix it.
