Combi boiler in airing cupboard?

I am replacing an old boiler with a combi and will be removing tank from the airing cupboard. Can the combi boiler go in there? It is not on an outside wall.

Mine is.

Should add it has just been installed.

Yes it can but you may find it's quite expensive to run all the pipework, gas pipe and flue into/out of it. It added about £1k to our price so we left it in the kitchen!

Thanks for the replies.

I really dislike the way a combi boiler takes up space in a kitchen (and my new kitchen is going to be quite small as it is) but don't know if I can stretch to the extra costs. Urgh. Seems like the best thing to do is to bite the bullet and do it as a way of futureproofing for eventual kitchen makeover.

My combi boiler is in my loft, had no issues with it since installation about 4 years ago.

"Not on an outside wall " will complicate it. Where will the flue go? It must be accessible and visible for inspection.

You have a nearby drain for the condensate and PRV, I suppose.

'You have a nearby drain for the condensate and PRV, I suppose.'

I don't really know, to be honest. I'll have to get a professional in and discuss the possibilities. Thanks for replying.
