Garden Furniture

I'm looking for some garden furniture recommendations. I'm loathe to use the word 'funky' but I'd like something different looking. I've looked online but the things I've been drawn to are designer and far too expensive. I like colour and don't mind plastic if it's good quality. Does anyone know of any websites/shops I can have a look at? Thanks.

we went to asda last year and got ours sorry not funky but square table with clear top, four black chairs and square umbrella was £89 good value for money considering how often we sit out in the garden in the UK

We use our garden a lot and have had the ASDA furniture before but it never lasts us a whole summer without something breaking or the plastic melting so much that the chairs are all misshapen. I'm prepared to spend a bit of money for better quality, just not £300/£500 for a single chair.

ours has the metal legs on the table and metal frames for the chairs not the bog standard plastic cafe style chairs

I know exactly the kind you mean but the plastic arms on the chairs melt. As I say, we've never had a set like that last a whole summer. It's not like we don't look after them but they are used so much that they give up.

Have you looked at Habitat?

They aren't that funky or unusual, but I love my ikea solleron sofas, table and a seglaro parasol. I have been really impressed - unlike most fake rattan sofa companies you can buy storage bags which go in the seats which are handy for cushions, rather than them trying to flog you an extra massive storage box. You can buy cushions in red now which is a bit different - we have beige, but that's all that was available last year. If the cushions get manky you can buy replacements. The sofas are very comfy, and modular so you can tailor them to exactly what you need. The parasol is also excellent.

When I was looking last year I liked the John Lewis salsa range. It was a lot more comfy than it looks, but ultimately I wanted a proper sofa you could lie down on in the sunshine. I shouldn't have bought "outdoor" scatter cushions from them though. They went mouldy and had to be thrown out.

Have you looked on wayfair - it can be a bit hit and miss but you can often find more interesting stuff at a bearable price

I've not had garden furniture off them but I do have a lovely chair

We have fermob table and chairs. We have had them for 19 years, so a bargain even though they were expensive.

We bought a Kettler sofa. It is fantastic and I think will look good for many years!

B&M have these (also in cute kid sizes) that look a bit designery to me

We got a lovely metal set from Argos last year that still looks brand new. I love itSmile.

I love that style shimmering those are the kind I've seen but not at that price. I'll have to keep a look out for them. I'm now trying to decide whether I want a table and chairs, a sofa, or some chairs and little tables. We've had tables and chairs in the past but I don't think we really need to spend money on a big table because we only really have barbecues and sit outside for drinks or after work. Lots to look at. Thank you.

Fermob are the dream Moving! Don't have that kind of money at the moment unfortunately but will keep them in mind for the future.
