Hi ladies. I'm so desperate to move areas I'd ideally like a small market town as I currently don't drive so all amenities need to be within walking distance of my home by amenities I mean good school, place to do a full food shop, parks and things for children to do like leisure centre, cinema clubs/after school clubs, places to go for walks good transport links would be really good as well and job opportunities. Can any of you lovely people recommend a place to move to. Keeping within England and Wales. A place where myself and child could really settle and make friends for life.

Budget might help?

Oops, posted too soon. If I could move away from London I'd probably go to Bury St Edmunds.

Hereford would fit the bill! Small city, good schools, cinema, leisure centre and pool, river walks and beautiful countryside close by. Plenty of supermarkets... Sainsbury's, Tesco X2, Asda, Morrison's, Aldi, Lidl. Nice areas within a mile of the town centre. Station for easy travel to Worcester, Birmingham and Cardiff.

Newbury? Good links into Paddington, plenty of work along the M4 corridor. Quite expensive though.

Devizes, Frome, Trowbridge?

Budget plus do you need to commute for work?

NPQX02091994 · 08/05/2019 21:19

There won't be any commuting full job/life change. Always working on the profession I'd like to go into so it's just trying to find an area.
