Plumber help! Kitchen sink

I need to remove my kitchen sink and the worktop it rests on as it’s being templated for new worktops but the company that supply the worktops are reluctant to touch the existing arrangement. They said this should be easy for us to do but I don’t know where to start!
I need help with:
-The dishwasher is next to the sink. Is it possible to turn the water supply to the sink off but it keep the supply to the dishwasher?

  • how do we remove the tap? We want to reuse it. Does it just unscrew?
Will the sink just lift out once the drain has been unscrewed or will there be clips? (ceramic)! Thanks for your wise advice! Hopefully I won’t think of too many more questions!

A picture would make it easier to give advice.
Your sink will likely have some sort of sealant around it so unlikely to just lift out without scraping that off. Taps can usually be individually isolated. There may be a little valve somewhere along the pipe, follow it and see. It'll look like a little flat head screw or an actual turn valve. Removing the taps...All different but some types will have a screw under a little cap you flip off the top where you turn it. Others unscrew from underneath. Dishwasher can still be used but check where the piping goes so you're not going to damage it. Don't know how helpful that all is without seeing it. But if you logically work your way round everything you should be able to work it out. Don't be afraid. Also though, don't pull or push or force things if you have resistance - checking where the resistance is coming from is better that breaking something!

maybe find someone else to do your new worktops - people who did ours templated with everything in situ - came back another day - took all old out inc wall tiles - fitted all new inc sink tap & upstand - all in one day
