Any one any experience? A house we like has 3-5 leylandiis about 60ft and only 3-4 meters from the house. Roots have caused the pathway to lift and crumble.

Are they in the garden of the house or a neighbour's garden?

Sounds like youll need to get a tree surgen to remove them or live with them.

In the garden. Happily remove them. Just wondered about potential damage to the foundations of the house

That is big..I know my sister donkeys years ago had some about 30 feet near where she wanted to build and she had to dig down to expose roots and also reduced the height which was tricky as they were neighbours. The requirement came from the bank though

They’re huge!! That’s my fear. We want to build and I’m worried that the roots will be a problem, or have potentially already be causing problems.
Im not sure if these trees are known for potential root damage to foundations etc.

You will need advice about them. They suck up a huge amount of water...DS soil anywhere near them was just dry dust. Apparently if you take out such a huge trea in one go you can cause ground heave and subsidence so you need expert advice

Thank you
